Strange coincidences

Yesterday afternoon I had a very long, detailed conversation with a good friend about the St. Louis Cardinals and what they needed to do to improve and potentially make a run this year.

I suggested that the team needed another bat to help protect Albert Pujols because the other guys on the team are just not getting it done.

He suggested that they should trade for Mark DeRosa.

A few hours later, when checking my computer, I received an instant message from another friend saying that the Cardinals had indeed traded for none other that Mark DeRosa.

I confirmed the trade and immediately went and got my friend at which point we both laughed as we thought the coincidence was a little strange.

Later last night a group of friends were over hanging out at my apartment. While we were sitting around the conversation somehow turned to Billy Mays, we then had quite the extensive conversation about him.

This morning after returning from breakfast with an old family friend, I checked twitter and quickly learned that Billy Mays had passed away.

These were two strange coincidences, major events that took place shortly after I had a conversation about the subject with some friends. I just thought it was weird to have that happen not once, but twice in less than 24 hours.
